From the other side of the file.
Before becoming a paralegal, I spent thirteen years as a police officer — work that gave me a firsthand understanding of how charges are investigated, how evidence is gathered, and how the courts operate from the other side of the file. That insight has shaped my approach to defence work ever since.
I have been a defence paralegal since 2002 and was licensed by the Law Society of Ontario in 2008, making me one of the first paralegals licensed in Ontario when the profession came under formal regulation.
I work every file personally from the first call. When geography or scheduling demands it, I draw on a small network of trusted associate paralegals across Ontario — so a court date never slips because two appearances landed on the same morning.
Whether you’re facing a criminal charge, fighting a ticket, navigating a tenancy dispute, or pursuing a small claim — straightforward advice and dedicated representation.
What I defend.
- 01Summary conviction criminal offences
- 02Traffic court and Provincial Offences Act matters
- 03Landlord and Tenant Board (LTB) hearings
- 04Small Claims Court

A Note on Scope
My practice operates within the paralegal scope set by the Law Society of Ontario. For matters that fall outside that scope — indictable criminal charges, complex civil litigation, family or estate matters — I work with a trusted network of Ontario lawyers and make the appropriate referral. Knowing the limits of one’s practice is part of the work.
On two wheels.
When I’m not in court, you’ll likely find me on a bike. I’m a committed cyclist and a proud supporter of the Princess Margaret Ride to Conquer Cancer — 2026 marks my sixth year riding in support of cancer research.
Looking for a paralegal who knows the system inside and out?
